Census 101:
What Is The Census?
Every 10 years, the U.S census is sent to every household in the country. It contains 10 simple questions and only takes 6 minutes to complete. It's a safe and secure way to obtain $13 bilion in funding for our state's future.
Why It Matters
An accurate census count is important for programs like health care, education, roads and bridges, jobs, congressional representation, and more.
How Do You Fill It Out?
Everyone will receive a postcard in March 2020 from the U.S. Census Bureau with instructions. You can complete it in three ways: online, telephone, or a mailable paper form. On average, it only takes 6 minutes to complete.
What's At Stake?
Alabama can obtain $13 billion in federal funding used to improve our state's future. This money means better health care, schools, roads, job opportunities, and more.
Job Security
Alabama could lose the opportunity for economic growth. This would result in fewer new jobs, businesses, investments, and more.
