Notice of Availability of Institutional and Financial Aid Information
In accordance with federal regulations as set forth by the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act reauthorized in 2008 (HEOA), Trenholm State Community College students are entitled to access information related to the College, financial aid available at Trenholm State, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy/Act of 1974 (FERPA). OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID OVERVIEW
The purpose of student financial aid at H. Councill Trenholm State Community College is to assist students who have financial need to help meet the cost of their education. The College believes that no individual should be denied an education because of inadequate financial aid resources. Consequently, financial aid is available at the College for those students who apply and qualify.

OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID CODE OF CONDUCT
In accordance with federal regulations as set forth by the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act reauthorized in 2008 (HEOA) requires institution of higher education to develop and enforce a code of conduct that prohibits conflicts of interest for financial aid personnel. Additionally, as members of the National Association of Student Financial Administration (NASFAA), Trenholm State Community College financial aid personnel also adhere to the NASFAA Statement of Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct which contains principles specific to the financial aid profession.

National Student Loan Data System (Loan Servicing Information)
Student borrowers who transfer to Trenholm may qualify for in-school deferments if enrolled at least as a half time student. In order to receive an in-school deferment, one may contact the National Student Clearinghouse at https://studentclearinghouse.org/. Trenholm State Community College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent for all verifications of student enrollment, projected dates of graduation, and provide verification of degrees. Transfer students who participated in Student Loan Programs at other colleges are encouraged to continue to communicate with their lenders and/or loan servicers.
FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA}
FAFSA asks if the student has ever been convicted of a drug-related offense. Failure to answer this question will automatically disqualify the student from receiving Federal Student Aid. Answering the question falsely, if discovered, could result in fines up to $20,000, imprisonment or both.

GRIEVANCE AND APPEAL PROCEDURES
H. Councill Trenholm State Community College recognizes that in order to effectively carry out its missions. its employees and students must feel confident that any valid complaint or grievance an employee or student may make concerning the College will be promptly addressed by the appropriate authorities.
Initial Steps to Resolve a Complaint
Any student enrolled at the College who wishes to make a complaint about a non-academic matter shall report that complaint in writing to the Dean of Students within ten (10) business day of the occurrence. The Dean of Students must refer complaints concerning Title IX, Section 504, and other matters to the College Grievance Officer, Dr. Pamalon C. Rollins, at 334-420-4253.
