Phi Theta Kappa
Mission Statement & Purpose
The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
Phi Theta Kappa’s mission is two-fold: To recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and to provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programming.
Organization Description
Phi Theta Kappa is America’s most prestigious scholarly organization for students at two-year colleges. Trenholm State Community College is home the Beta Phi Phi Chapter. A chapter is a branch of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society that services the community college. A chapter consists of a staff advisor(s), officers, and members.
Beta Phi Phi Chapter – Trenholm State Community College
The Beta Phi Phi Chapter was established at Trenholm State Community College on November 10, 2016. Founding members were inducted on the 8 th Day of December 2016.
Beta Phi Phi Chapter is a chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society located at the Trenholm State Community College. The Beta Phi Phi Chapter recognizes outstanding academic achievement, encourages scholarship, and fosters a commitment to service to the college and the community.
