Accounting is the language of business. The American Accounting Association defines accounting as "The process of identifying, measuring, and communicating economic information to permit informed judgments and decisions by the users of the information." Accounting is a way of assessing the assets, cash flow, liabilities, and more of an entities current and future investors.
Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Financial and Auditing Clerks held more than 1,760,300 million jobs in 2014 and are employed in every industry. Trenholm State offers a complete program to prepare students for entry-level positions in the business community as an accounting apprentice, assistant or accountant trainee.
The Accounting Program at Trenholm State Community College provides students with the fundamentals of accounting principles and procedures. These principles and procedures facilitate careers in public and private accounting, including both State and Federal government entities. The program provides interested individuals with the prerequisites to eventually progress towards obtaining the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Our Courses also prepare students for industry certifications like QuickBooks, Payroll and Tax.
