Thank you for your interest in our program. The Medical Radiologic Technology program at Trenholm State Community College provides students with the necessary education to gain entry-level positions in the field of medical imaging.
This program is five (5) semesters in length and includes comprehensive coursework, laboratory and clinical education. Clinical rotations are offered throughout various facilities including hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, and orthopedic clinics.
The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Graduates of Trenholm State Community College Radiologic Technology Program are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Registry Exam.**
You should complete an application to Trenholm State Community College, an application for the Medical Radiologic Technology program, and, if you wish, an application for financial aid.
Once you have completed your admissions packet, you should check with a program faculty advisors to ensure that your admissions information and documentation have been received and complete. Contact information is listed below. Applications for Fall 2018 will be accepted from now until June 8, 2018. All application materials and documentation must be received by the program no later than 11:00 a.m. on June 8th to be considered.

**At the current time, the Medical Radiologic Technology program at Trenholm State Community College has been given “Maintenance of Probation” status by the accrediting body which is The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). This status is effective through February 25, 2019, for ongoing non-compliance with Standard Five:
Objective 5.2 – Lack of assurance that the program documents the following program effectiveness data: Five-year average credentialing examination pass rate of not less than 75 percent at first attempt within six months of graduation. Non-compliance will result in involuntary withdrawal of accreditation by JRCERT.
Although this is a probationary accreditation status, a student’s ability to sit for the ARRT National Certification exam will be unaffected. Trenholm State Community College is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees.
