WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) OST PROGRAM
Scholarships are available for a new short-term Workforce Innovation and Occupational Skills (WIOA) training program. This program provides free hands-on training for qualified adults and dislocated workers who live in Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, Macon, or Montgomery County.
This program provides tuition, books, and supplies for training in five hide demand programs including:
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Commercial Truck Driving
- Emergency Medical Technology
- Computerized Numerical Controls Machining
The program will include three phases: Educational Services, Work Readiness, and Occupational Skills Training. It will allow participants to learn marketable skills and obtain work experiences in occupations for which documented workforce needs exist for industries in the Central Alabama Region. Trenholm State Community College will not only provide training, but also provide participants with supportive guidance and encouragement for the development of their personal and professional skills.
