About the Course
Skills for Success is a statewide workforce training initiative developed by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Innovation Center to prepare Alabamians for high-demand careers through accessible, short-term training.
Courses are designed in partnership with industry to address workforce needs and provide participants with practical, job-ready skills. Training is available in a variety of career fields and can be completed in a relatively short period of time.
How the Training Works
Skills for Success uses a hybrid training model that combines:
- Online Learning – Self-paced, interactive coursework that allows participants to complete foundational training online.

Hands-on training is available through Alabama’s community colleges, including Trenholm State Community College.
Cost
Skills for Success training is offered at no cost to eligible participants through funding provided by legislative appropriations to support workforce training across Alabama.
