Ford TRAC Program

The Ford TRAC (Technician Ready Accelerated Certification) Program at Trenholm State Community College is a workforce-focused partnership with Ford Motor Company and local Ford dealerships that prepares students to become certified Ford Automotive Service Technicians. Embedded within the college’s Automotive Services program, this 34-credit hour certificate combines Ford-specific training, ASE curriculum, and hands-on learning in a two-semester mini-term format. Through an “Earn While You Learn” model, students gain classroom instruction alongside real-world dealership experience, preparing them for careers servicing Ford and Lincoln vehicles, including hybrid and electric technologies. Supported by Ford with vehicles, equipment, and training resources, the program creates a direct pathway to industry credentials, employment, and long-term career growth.

Admission Requirements 

To complete your application, you must: 

  1. Submit an online application  
  2. Provide one of the following:  
    1. Official high school transcript (with graduation date)  
    2. Official GED transcript   
  3. Submit official college transcripts (if applicable)

  • Electronic transcripts must be sent through secure services (e.g., Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse). 
  • Unofficial transcripts are not accepted. 
  • If you hold an associate or bachelor’s degree, only the degree-granting transcript is required.
