Programs & Training

Effective December 1, 2025 – ALL Background/ Drug screening must be paid for 1 week prior to orientation.  TB skin test results are due on the date of orientation -NO EXCEPTIONS

  • This comprehensive 70-hour program will prepare students to work as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's (PTCB) exam. Course content includes pharmacy medical terminology, the history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in multiple environments, pharmacy calculations and measurements, prescription reading and interpretation, and drug definitions by generic and brand names. Through classroom lecture and hands-on labs, students will review dosage calculations, drug classifications, the "top 200 drugs," I.V. flow rates, sterile compounding, dose conversions, aseptic technique, handling of sterile products, total parental nutrition (TPN), prescription dispensing, inventory control and billing and reimbursement.

  • $1,299.00 per student (includes tuition and textbooks)

Prerequisites:

To complete your registration, please make sure you have the following:
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Copy of a state-issued ID
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (an $80 fee is due within two weeks from the class start date; students are responsible for payment). Click here for payment link

Students are required to pay their registration fees at the time of registration in order to hold your seat.  Unfortunately, the college does not offer a payment plan on non-credit courses.

Refund Policy:

If a student withdraws from a program by the second day of the class in writing, they may receive a full refund. No adjustments are made on the third date of class.

Upon completion, students are eligible to apply to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam (PTCE-not included in tuition)
