Automotive Service

The first step to be accepted into this program is to complete the college application. 

Automotive Service consists of testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of the modern automobile. The Automotive Service program at Trenholm State Community College is designed to teach a student the basic principles of all eight areas of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation certifications (engine repair, automatic transmissions/transaxle, manual drive train and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/ electronic systems, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance) as required by industry today.

The Automotive Service program at Trenholm State Community College is designed to teach a student the basic principles of all eight areas of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications (engine repair, automatic transmissions/transaxle, manual drive train and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance) as required by industry today.

Earn While You Learn

The Trenholm State Automotive Technology program is part of a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program. This program allows students to work, get paid, have tuition paid and guarantees a job upon graduation with no debt. For more information talk with your Automotive Technology advisor/instructor.
